If you’re dreaming of a sun-drenched getaway then this magical spot boasts sweltering temperatures of 33C in February.

The southeast Asian country of Thailand may include a long flight – but once there you will be greeted by tropical beaches, ancient ruins, friendly locals and some of the most mouth-watering foods.

The average daily maximum is 34C in Phuket in February with 32.9C for Ko Phi Phi and 34C for Krabi with the odd wet days here and there.

These favourable weather conditions make February an absolute ideal month for lounging about and outdoor activities.

A visit to Thailand also offers opulent royal palaces and ornate temples displaying figures of Buddha promising a February you’ll never forget.

Thailand is home to some of the most beautiful beaches in the world including those in Phuket, Krabi, Khao Lak and Koh Samui and are the perfect places to cool off at.

And when sunning it up on one of Thailand’s many beaches gets too much, explorers will be in for a real treat here.

Thailand has over 40,000 temples to soak up including the White Temple in Chiang Rai, the Grand Palace and Wat Pho in Bangkok and the Sanctuary of Truth near Pattaya.

It’s also home to a number of national parks including Khao Yai National Park and Khao Sok National Park which are described as a gem for wildlife and hiking enthusiasts.

Thailand has an array of historical cities too such as the cultural capital of northern Thailand known as Chiang Mai and Ayutthaya – a former Siamese capital.

Night markets are another major attraction in Thailand where you can find a great deal of selection of foods and trinkets with the Chatuchak Weekend Market being a must-visit and is the world’s largest weekend market.

Those looking for a taste explosion will find endless food stalls and restaurants serving up the country’s most famous dishes which are influenced by Chinese and Indian cultures.

Most Thai dishes are spicy and many common dishes include hot chilies, lemongrass, basil, ginger, and coconut milk with dishes on offer including Pad Thai which is stir-fried noodles, Tom Yum Goong, a hot and sour shrimp soup and Khao Soi, a coconut curry noodle soup.

One review on TripAdvisor spoke of their time in Thailand and said: “I have been in Thailand and it was fantastic, there are many things to see there including the tuk tuk which is scary and interesting.

“Don’t forget to try the Thai food Tom yum and the street food. At night you can go to nightclubs and will not feel bored at all.”
