Jet skis drop off illegal migrants on California beach before capture

This is the wild moment suspected people smugglers drop a group of migrants off on a California beach using jet skis.

Footage shows two vessels speeding towards the coastline at Imperial Beach in San Diego County with two passengers in tow on Saturday morning.

They then dump off the pair who struggle to wade past the large waves before turning around and racing back into the open ocean.

In an astonishing twist, a lone law enforcement officer is suddenly spotted speeding down the beach on an ATV.

The officer pulls up to one of the suspected migrants just as they leave the water while desperately trying to run away.

The panicking illegal falls over before the agent hops off his vehicle and jumps on top of them, pinning them to the sand.

The video, first posted by San Diego-based community organizer Amy Reichart, shows a small crowd of people cheering as the migrant is taken into custody.

Reichart wrote: “Smugglers raced jet skis to shore, dropped off illegal immigrants, then took off. U.S. Border Patrol activated.”

A rep for US Customs and Boarder Protection didn’t immediately respond to a request for comment, but sources with knowledge of the incident said the video was real.

The shocking incident came as federal officials in California report that more human traffickers are taking to the Pacific Ocean to move illegal migrants into the state.

Just a week before Saturday’s landing in San Diego, a boat full of suspected illegal migrants landed in tony Newport Beach to the north, rattling nearby residents who fear that such incidents are dangerous to the community.
