NFL history will be made tonight.
The second game of the 2026-27 NFL season between the Los Angeles Rams and San Francisco 49ers will be the league’s first in Australia. It marks the fourth continent the league has touched down on, after international debuts in Europe in 2007 and South America in 2024.
There’s been much talk of travel plans as the matchup drew closer, as the 49ers opted to fly down under a week before the game while the Rams left Los Angeles on Wednesday and touched down in Australia on Thursday so that players’ bodies wouldn’t feel the repercussions of jet lag.
