If you’re planning to ring in the New Year with a glass of bubbly, you’ll have to be quick to snap up a bargain deal.

Three major supermarkets have offers on Champagne at the moment, allowing shoppers to pick up a bottle for less than a tenner.

Aldi, Asda and Lidl have the cheapest deals right now, each selling a bottle of fizz for a mere £9.99 – ideal if you want to avoid the chaos at bars this evening and enjoy a glass of bubbly at home.

Aldi is selling bottles of Nicholas De Montbart Champagne Brut for £9.99 in stores and online, while shoppers can pick up a bottle of Comte de Senneval Champagne Brut for the same price at Lidl.

However, the cheap price at Lidl is only available to those using the Lidl Plus app, so if you don’t have this you’ll have to pay a bit more at £13.99.

The deal is available at Lidl stores until closing time on Tuesday, December 31, so you’ll need to act quick to snap up the offer before it expires.

Alternatively, you can head to Asda to pick up a 75cl bottle of Louvel Fontaine Champagne Brut for £9.99. This deal is available both in stores and online.

It’s also worth checking local independent stores near year as well, as you might find a deal that is cheaper than most major supermarkets.

Of course, if you’re keen to save the pennies you could always opt for the slightly cheaper option of a bottle of prosecco instead as several supermarkets have offers right now that are around £5.

Lidl is selling a bottle of Prosecco Spumante DOC for just £4.75 when buying in stores using the Lidl Plus app, while Morrisons Sorso Prosecco Spumante costs just £5 in store and online.

Matching Morrisons price is Asda with a bottle of Prosecco Spumante Extra Dry for £5 in store and online, and at Tesco shoppers can grab a bottle of Bella Cucina Prosecco for the slightly higher price of £5.45.

Shoppers heading out to buy a bottle of fizz for New Year celebrations tonight should keep in mind that many supermarkets will be closing earlier than normal so it’s worth checking your local store opening hours before setting off.

Times may vary by location, but here’s a rundown of the major supermarket opening hours on New Year’s Eve:
