Neighbors have spotted the husband of slain New Jersey woman Brooke Hanlon, 35, in Chester, making weekly visits to the family’s home.
Conor Hanlon, 36, has been making weekly stops at his Chester, New Jersey home. Neighbors say he has been seen there on Thursdays and Fridays, with his white Volvo SUV parked in his driveway during the day but not overnight.
Fox News Digital spotted Hanlon in Massachusetts last month moving trash cans and getting into a white pickup truck in his family’s hometown of Brighton in Boston.
His wife, Brooke, was found dead inside the home on June 6, with the Morris County Prosecutor’s Office investigating it as a homicide case. So far, no suspect or person of interest has been named.
Conor Hanlon has not been charged with any crime or accused of wrongdoing. Fox News Digital reached out to him for comment.
During his visits, neighbors have witnessed Hanlon doing yard work outside the home on Pottersville Road. Neighbors confirmed to Fox News Digital that while his car has been spotted during the day parked outside the home, the white SUV is never parked in the driveway overnight.
Hanlon has been moving in and out of the home, with neighbors who have spotted the garage door open on several occasions.
On Friday, Hanlon spoke publicly about his wife’s death for the first time, denying any involvement while declining further comment due to the ongoing investigation.
“My heart is totally shattered,” he told the Daily Mail. A reporter asked him if he had any involvement in his wife’s death, to which he said, “Of course not.”
“It’s a tragedy,” he added.
Neighbors tell Fox News Digital they remain on edge as law enforcement has yet to release any update in the case.
One of them said about three weeks before the young mother was discovered dead inside her home in early June, local police showed up knocking on doors to “check in” with residents on Pottersville Road after they reportedly told them a “911 call was made in the area.”
She confirmed to Fox News Digital that the police showed up to her door asking if “everything was OK” between 9:30 and 10 that night.
She lives next door to the Hanlons.
In July, one gun-owning neighbor told Fox News Digital he’s ready to defend his family should the time come. He said he has been looking over his shoulder more frequently, knowing a possible killer is still at large.
