The Jets will see a familiar face to open the 2026 season.

Gang Green will travel to Nashville to play the Titans and Robert Saleh on Sept. 13, sources confirmed.

Saleh is in his first year as the Titans head coach. He served as the Jets coach from 2021-24.

It felt like this could be a natural opener for the Jets and the NFL obliged.

There are plenty of other former Jets also in Tennessee with Jermaine Johnson, John Franklin-Myers, Solomon Thomas, Tony Adams, Michael Carter and Jacob Martin.

Former Giants coach Brian Daboll is the Titans’ offensive coordinator.

This game will be the debut of a new-look Jets team that has undergone a massive makeover this offseason.

It should mark the return of Geno Smith as the team’s quarterback after 10 years. It also could be the debuts of their three first-round picks — David Bailey, Kenyon Sadiq and Omar Cooper Jr.

The full NFL schedule is being released Thursday night but there already have been leaks.

Here are the Jets games that have been leaked and compiled by the NFL Nerd twitter account. These have not all been confirmed, though.
