An astronaut aboard the Gemini VII mission reported seeing a “bogey” unidentified object that looked like the “path of a vehicle” trailing through space more than 60 years ago.

NASA astronaut Frank Borman detailed the rare sighting during his 1965 spaceflight, according to a transcript included in the UFO files released by the Pentagon on Friday.

“We have a bogey at 10 o’clock,” Borman told mission control, according to the transcript.

“We have debris up here. This is an actual sighting.”

“We have very, very many a — it looks like hundreds of little particles going by to the left out about three or four miles,” Borman continued.

“It looks like a path of the vehicle at 90 degrees.”

The details were among the trove of documents made public on Friday when the Department of War unveiled its new website dedicated to the UFO files.
