A wild late-night brawl erupted in the heart of West Hollywood over the weekend, with chaos spilling into a busy stretch of Santa Monica Boulevard as fists flew and bystanders scrambled to stay clear.

What sparked the violence remains unclear, but video shows a group of nearly a dozen people crowding in the middle of the sidewalk. Several participants can be seen throwing punches and grappling, while others try unsuccessfully to break up the fight.

Terrified onlookers shouted for security and questioned where police were. At the same time, some people attempted to keep others on the sidewalk from jumping into the fray.

Deputies with the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department were dispatched after reports of the disturbance. By the time authorities arrived, the crowd had already scattered.

Law enforcement have not released descriptions of anyone involved, and it’s unclear whether the incident remains under investigation.

The incident marks the second violent outburst in West Hollywood’s Rainbow District in less than a month, raising fresh concerns about safety in the bustling nightlife hub.

On March 21, another fight erupted just blocks away, spilling out of a bar and onto the sidewalk after tensions flared inside. Authorities said two victims were attacked by a group of suspects after being thrown out of the venue, suffering visible injuries to their faces and heads. The attackers fled before deputies arrived, and no arrests were announced.

It’s still unclear whether anyone suffered serious injuries in Sunday’s clash, but the footage shows multiple people taking hard tumbles onto the pavement as punches continued to fly.
