An unhinged anti-white and anti-Jewish bigot who slugged a TikTok influencer in an infamous caught-on-video Manhattan attack was convicted on hate-crimes charges Wednesday and now faces up to three years in jail.
Skiboky Stora, who has run long-shot races for NYC mayor and claimed to be the “great great grandson of Marcus Garvey,” was found guilty of assault in the third degree as a hate crime following a bench trial in front of Manhattan Supreme Court Judge Josh Hanshaft.
The judge needed just 30 minutes to deliver the guilty verdict after the four-week trial, at which Stora acted as his own lawyer and put up a rambling, nonsensical defense.
He was also convicted of stalking in the third degree as a hate crime and aggravated harassment in the second degree.
Stora, who wore a tie with his own name on it in court, was immediately remanded by the judge — and will be sentenced on April 14.
The trial, which included Stora taking more than 60 bathroom breaks and engaging in other shenanigans, wrapped up Wednesday as he and Manhattan prosecutors made closing arguments.
“I never did anything racist to anybody, and I never did anything discriminating against anybody, and I never tried to injure anybody,” Stora said in his short remarks.
When his brief speech wrapped up in just under 15 minutes, the judge asked Stora if that was all he had to say, to which he bizarrely replied “God Bless America” three times.
Prosecutors have said that Stora assaulted, stalked and harassed strangers on the streets of the Big Apple in a series of hate crimes targeting white people, jewish people and women.
Manhattan Assistant District Attorney Edward Smith argued that Stora — who he said hates white people — shouldn’t be “credited by the court” because he continuously lied throughout the trial and denied any involvement in the hate crimes.
“The defendant didn’t select the victims in this case because they were in his way or because they bumped into him,” Smith said.
“The defendant selected his victims because they were white, fair skinned — because they were women and because they were Jewish,” he added.
At trial, prosecutors showed a trove of Stora’s self-recorded videos where he can be seen shouting hate speech against white people.
Stora, who testified in his own defense, came up with a number of excuses as to why he couldn’t be the perp behind the hate crimes — despite caught-on-camera video of the attacks clearly depicting a man who appeared to be Stora.
Stora, who appeared with a clearly shaven head at trial, repeatedly claimed that he couldn’t have committed any of crimes because the perp had hair unlike him.
When asked several times about whether his dog — a “black and white” cocker spaniel named Shirleylittlebutt — was the pooch present in several of the assaults, Stora argued that it wasn’t his dog because video showed a “white and grey” dog.
At trial, witnesses testified about their random run-ins with Stora — including TikTok influencer Halley McGookin, who testified about being punched in the face by the goon on March 25, 2024
McGookin, also known as Halley Kate with more than 1.6 million followers, said that she was so rattled after being slugged that she immediately apologized to her attacker.
The TikTok influencer told her attacker she was sorry “because he was screaming at me, using a lot of profanity, saying it was my fault,” she said.
McGookin was on her way to record a podcast when she was attacked near West 17th Street near Seventh Avenue around 10:20 a.m. she testified.
Other evidence included a caught-on-camera verbal attack at a white Jewish couple inside a 16th Street building after they had made eye contact with him on the street as he was tearing down Israeli hostage posters in November 2023.
“I promise you white boy, the Muslims are coming from you,” Stora yelled in the shocking caught-on-camera rampage.
“You’re going to die — Die Jew Die!” Stora continued before leaving the building.
Prosecutors said that Stora repeatedly “sees himself above all women, especially white women” and that his Instagram videos showed a general hate against whiteness.
