Kid Rock to headline Turning Point USA’s alternate Super Bowl halftime show

Turning Point USA announced that Kid Rock will headline its alternative Super Bowl halftime show after backlash from conservatives against Bad Bunny, who’s the official NFL headliner.

Kid Rock took a jab at the Puerto Rico-born trap and reggaeton star in a social media post celebrating the “All-American Halftime Show” from TPUSA, founded by conservative activist Charlie Kirk, who was assassinated last September.

“He’s said he’s having a dance party, wearing a dress, and singing in Spanish? Cool,” Kid Rock said in the post. “We plan to play great songs for folks who love America.”

Conservatives had torched the NFL’s selection of Bad Bunny — who won three Grammys including “Album of the Year” on Sunday. The “Dakiti” singer has mocked the Trump administration and outwardly bashed ICE including during his Grammy acceptance speech.

TPUSA’s alternative halftime show, the organization said, is rooted in faith, freedom and family, and will feature country artists including Brantley Gilbert, Lee Brice and Gabby Barrett.

“The All-American Halftime Show is an opportunity for all Americans to enjoy a halftime show with no agenda other than to celebrate faith, family, and freedom,” Turning Point spokesman Andrew Kolvet said in a statement. “We can’t wait to watch the incredible show they’re about to put on. We know millions around the country will be watching too.”

Previously, Bad Bunny celebrated his selection as the NFL’s official halftime headliner by framing it as a cultural moment.

“This is for my people, my culture, and our history,” the pop superstar said in a post announcing the performance.”

Trump ally Kid Rock said he was approaching the alternative show like “David and Goliath.”

“Competing with the pro football machine and a global pop superstar is almost impossible … or is it?” he said in a statement.

TPUSA said it will stream its alternative halftime show across its social media platforms and on conservative outlets including Real America’s Voice and OAN.

Bad Bunny’s official Super Bowl LX halftime performance will take place at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara and air live on NBC on Feb. 8, 2026, with streaming available on Peacock and live TV services that carry the network, including YouTube TV, Hulu + Live TV, and DirecTV.
