The team that was apparently lurking won out.

The Dodgers have agreed to a deal to land four-time All-Star outfielder Kyle Tucker, ESPN’s Jeff Passan reported.

Terms of the deal are not yet clear.

Tucker is fresh off a strong walk year with the Cubs in which he hit .266 with an .841 OPS, 22 home runs and 73 RBIs in 136 games — earning a Silver Slugger nod for the second time.

The 6-foot-4 lefty slugger was acquired by the Cubs ahead of the 2025 campaign in a trade with the Astros, where he had spent the first seven seasons of his career and captured a World Series title in 2022.

This is a developing story
