A father has been jailed for trying to kill his own baby daughter after he threw her at the television. Rhydian Jamieson, aged 28, of Cwm Cou, Newcastle Emlyn has been sentenced to 35 years in prison.
Police were called to an address in Y Ferwig, Ceredigion on January 15 last year following reports concerning the welfare of a young child. A seriously injured infant was then rushed to hospital.
Jamieson pleaded guilty to attempted murder at Swansea Crown Court in April last year. He was sentenced today by the honorary recorder of Swansea, Judge Paul Thomas KC.
