Princess Anne is set to undergo a major royal tour to Australia and Singapore within weeks. The Princess Royal, accompanied by her husband Vice Admiral Sir Tim Laurence, is set to visit the two countries from November 8 until November 13.
In Australia, which Anne last visited in 2023, the King’s sister will undertake a series of military engagements in Sydney, Melbourne, and Brisbane over the course of four days. Buckingham Palace said this is because the visit will mark the 100th anniversary of the Royal Australian Corps of Signals. As President of the Commonwealth War Graves Commission, the princess, 75, will also lay a wreath at the Sydney War Cemetery and the Anzac Memorial to mark Remembrance.
After four days in Australia, Her Royal Highness will then travel to Singapore, where she will mark 60 years of diplomatic relations between the United Kingdom and Singapore.
The princess, alongside her husband, will spend two days in Singapore and will carry out a number of engagements,
This is set to include audiences with the President and with the Prime Minister of Singapore.
Over the course of the two days, the princess will also visit Kranji War Memorial, the Airbus Asia Training Centre and Rolls-Royce’s Seletar campus.
The King’s sister hasn’t visited Singapore since November 2016 but has fond memories of the country.
This includes a visit she made in 1972, which saw her awarded the Distinguished Service Order – a rare honour for foreign dignitaries.
It is believed The Princess Royal, who is one of the hardest working royals, will be looking forward to the tour next month.
