The Princess of Wales is bracing for her biggest royal night this year as she is set to host her annual Together at Christmas Christmas Carol Service in London in a few hours.
Princess Kate will be joined by her family and other members of the Firm as they all head to Westminster Abbey for the festive event.
This year marks a significant milestone for the future Queen, who’s easing herself into royal life after a challenging year following her cancer diagnosis back in March.
Tonight’s service provides a moment to reflect upon the importance of love and empathy. A total of 1,600 will head Westminster Abbey and each will be given the Order of Service, the cover of which was created by illustrator Charlie Mackesy and was unveiled yesterday and a personal letter from the princess for the first time ever, thanking them for all they have done to provide comfort and hope to those who need it the most.
During the poignant event, which is supported by the Royal Foundation and will be broadcast on ITV1 and ITVX on Christmas Eve, readings linked to the theme of love and empathy will be delivered by speakers including the Prince of Wales, Olympian Adam Peaty OBE, Sophie Okonedo CBE, Michelle Dockery and Richard E. Grant.
