Chelsea star Moises Caicedo issued an explosive statement revealing that he is no longer represented by agent Manuel Sierra before later deleting the post. On Instagram, an announcement read: “Chelsea Football Club star Moises Caicedo has separated from and is no longer represented by his former football agent Manuel Sierra of Football Division Worldwide and he is not represented by Ali Barat of Epic.
“The contract ended on August 14, 2025 and the player has now appointed people he can trust.” The final sentence of his statement is certainly captivating, which hints that a rift was likely, but the post was later taken down by Caicedo on Monday evening.
Sierra, Caicedo’s now ex-agent, assisted in brokering his transfer to the Blues from Brighton despite confirming Liverpool presented a more reliable proposition. Barat meanwhile, presently represents numerous high-profile figures in football recently linked with Chelsea such as Noni Madueke and Nicolas Jackson.
The assumption was that Caicedo was also amongst his roster but the aforementioned statement has verified that is not the situation. The Ecuador international has been exceptional so far this campaign with two superb strikes accompanying his relentless efforts in midfield.
Caicedo has remained at Cobham throughout the October international break having been amongst the players managing a minor concern. “This afternoon we are going to assess Caicedo, Joao Pedro and Andrey Santos,” Enzo Maresca disclosed in a press conference ahead of the Champions League showdown against Benfica in late September.
“They are all players, unfortunately for us, with some minor issues. So, we will see tomorrow if they are going to be available. Undoubtedly, at this moment, we have injuries, but I believe we have sufficient depth in the squad to cover for the injuries that we have.”
Caicedo managed to play the full 90 minutes in that 1-0 triumph and he was able to replicate that feat a few days later for the massive 2-1 victory against Liverpool. Chelsea will be aiming to secure their third consecutive win this weekend when they head to the City Ground for a Saturday lunchtime clash against Nottingham Forest.
Pedro and Caicedo are anticipated to be fit to play despite not featuring for Brazil or Ecuador, respectively, but there are worries over Enzo Fernandez after he departed the Argentina camp. His country were scheduled to face Puerto Rico in the early hours of Wednesday morning, however he will now not participate and is back at Cobham with the aim of playing for Chelsea.
