Amazon dehumidifier has been a ‘game changer’

The colder months are coming, and with that comes and increased risk of damp in homes, which can lead to all sorts of bother, including mould. But a dehumidifier can be a great help during the autumn and winter. It’s also handy if you like to air-dry your clothes at home, but don’t want to risk mould spores growing.

The cost of dehumidifiers varies depending on the make and model, but a great deal on Amazon has caught our eye. The 2.2-litre dehumidifier is by the brand Finade and is currently almost half its usual price.

Amazon has reduced the dehumidifier by 44%, from £99.99 to £55.99. Shoppers have praised it as “very easy to use.”

The brand says the gadget can hold up to 500ml of condensation, ensuring homes remain dry and free from excess moisture throughout the day. It also automatically shuts down when the water tank is full, eliminating concerns about overflow.

It claims to help reduce issues like mould and odour. Shoppers have left positive reviews, with one person saying: “This little dehumidifier has been a game changer! It’s compact and easy to move around, but it really does a great job pulling mould out of the air.”

The Dehumidifier for Home has a sleep mode, which minimises noise and is great if you want to keep the dehumidifier running through the night. Though it does have a light, there are seven different coloured options, a timer function for automatic shut-off without user intervention, and an auto-defrost feature if the temperature plummets.

One shopper left a review of the product, saying: “This is a good dehumidifier. It’s the second one that I purchased, and I really like this compact and durable dehumidifier. It’s very easy to use—plug and play with some touch buttons. It looks good and works silently.”

Another customer added: “It’s a great dehumidifier. It has lots of functions, like drying clothes. It’s compact and easy to move around. It’s the best dehumidifier for pulling moisture out of the air.”

However, not everyone was as pleased. One disgruntled user said: “This did work well… it’s started to get smelly, and yes, I’ve cleaned it properly.”

Some shoppers have also complained about the “small water capacity”.

Of course, there are plenty of other dehumidifiers on sale at the moment. The HOMCOM 10L/Day Portable Quiet Dehumidifier is currently £79.99, reduced from £95.99 at Robert Dyas. This model features dual speeds and three operational modes, including a sleep setting. It switches off automatically once the tank reaches capacity and includes a child safety lock, reports Wales Online.

Alternatively, the VonHaus 20L Dehumidifier with Laundry Mode is available for £129.99, down from £159.99, directly from VonHaus. It offers three settings—laundry, sleep, and automaticand extracts up to 20 litres of moisture daily. It also boasts an XL water reservoir and continuous drainage tube.
