Princess Beatrice may be celebrating her 37th birthday today, but could still be “desperately worried” over her father, Prince Andrew, following the latest bombshell claims that have emerged recently. The Duke of York has been making headlines recently as parts of Andrew Lownie’s book, Entitled: The Rise and Fall of the House of York, have been serialised online, bringing shocking new claims about the Duke of York and his family.

Mr Lownie’s book, set to be released on August 14, makes various allegations about Andrew, including about his sex life, his alleged physical altercation with Prince Harry, and the Duke’s behaviour to members of staff. Andrew’s eldest daughter will undoubtedly be celebrating her special day today with her nearest and dearest, and according to one royal expert, she will likely “ignore the noise” regarding her father.

Jennie Bond said the latest bombshell would likely come as an “unwelcome gift” for the princess.

The royal commentator told the Mirror: “Love is blind, they say. And, in spite of all their faults, Andrew and Fergie have retained the unconditional love and loyalty of their two daughters.

“This week’s avalanche of lurid reports about their father, and tales of their mother’s irresponsible extravagance, will have been an unwelcome 37th birthday gift for Beatrice — but her instinct will be once again to protect her parents and ignore the noise.”

Ms Bond added that Beatrice would likely be too busy with her family to “sit and moan” about the explosive claims against her father.

She said: “By now, she has probably come to terms with the fact that Andrew should never have done the disastrous Newsnight interview which directly led to his downfall, and she should not have been with him or supported his decision to speak out.”

The expert went on to say that despite being “desperately worried about both of her parents”, Beatrice will likely enjoy a birthday celebration today, which could be just what the family needs.

She said: “If they get together today there really is nothing like tiny children to take your mind off things. An afternoon full of fun and laughter — or even toddler tantrums — can be a fabulous distraction.”
