Yesterday, the first teaser trailer for Tom Holland’s Spider-Man: Brand New Day was released, teasing Peter Parker’s new suit, as filming gets underway in Glasgow.
And today, the 29-year-old star released another video of himself in costume inside a soundstage, asking, “Are we ready?” before looking at the camera and heading off to his shoot.
It’s already been confirmed that Jon Bernthal is returning as The Punisher in the MCU’s fourth Spider-Man solo movie.
But now, Avengers star Mark Ruffalo has joined the cast as Bruce Banner, aka the Hulk.
This will be his first Marvel appearance since 2022’s She-Hulk, when it was revealed he had a Hulk son called Skaar during his time on Sakaar in Thor Ragnarok.
Spider-Man, Hulk and the Punisher are all set to fight each other in a plot that remains largely under wraps. And if that wasn’t enough, another MCU villain is returning for the first time in 8 years. According to the Hollywood Reporter, Michael Mando will reprise Scorpion, having first featured in 2017’s Spider-Man Homecoming.
Scorpion was last teased in a prison end credits scene at the end of Holland’s first solo outing. It may have taken 8 years but he’s finally getting his moment.
Spider-Man Brand New Day hits cinemas on July 31, 2026.
