Miracle 49p item effortlessly removes limescale from shower

While I’ve cleaned my bathroom with citric acid, white vinegar and baking soda in previous years, limescale does – and will – return. Admittedly, the latest build-up had become an eyesore – the limescale had settled along the bathroom taps, onto the chrome plugs, and on the shower glass door.

Then an unsightly limescale mark developed on the bottom of my bath and it wouldn’t budge no matter how hard I scrubbed at it. I even resorted to commercial cleaner, but the blue cloth I was using to scrub it didn’t make a difference at all. Then I had a brainwave – what if I tried one of the scourer pads I had in the kitchen?

Coming in a pack of four (for just £1.95), originally intended for removing burnt-on food, what was the harm in giving it a go?

First, tackling the long stretch of limescale painted onto my bath, I was shocked at how the stain completely lifted with no effort at all.

Then this sent me on a bathroom cleaning frenzy; stubborn limescale marks lifted from bathroom taps and plugs – with just a scourer and water.

Tentatively, I decided to tackle the shower screen door; I wondered to myself, would it make scratches?

But, to my amazement, all the watermarks simply vanished with no scratches left behind.

Now that I have used the Spontex Tough Scourer, it will become part of my bathroom cleaning staples.

Even though I didn’t need to use any citric acid, white vinegar or baking soda to effectively remove limescale, they’re still good go-to cleaning products to have in the home.

The Spontex Tough Scourer (pack of four) is £1.95, meaning each one is just 49p, and is available to buy from Amazon, Asda, Tesco, Waitress and Sainsbury’s.
