Putin’s leading TV propagandist has issued Donald Trump with a chilling warning, as tensions between Washington and Moscow surge. The US President made clear his frustration with his Russian counterpart during a meeting with the British Prime Minister in Scotland.
Trump initially gave Putin a 50-day deadline to agree a peace deal with Ukraine or face the wrath of the White House. The White House is threatening to impose 100% secondary tariffs on any country buying Russian oil – a source of vital income for Putin’s war in Ukraine. The US President told reporters he had now cut the deadline to just 10 to 12 days, saying talks with Putin had failed “on too many occasions”.
“There’s no reason to wait if you know what the answer is going to be,” he said. However, Trump added he did not want to do that to Russia as he “loves” the country’s people.
Trump’s new deadline went down like a lead balloon in Moscow, prompting a furious response from the Kremlin. The Kremlin stooge Vladimir Solovyov was wheeled out to launch another blistering attack on Trump, as well as US general Christopher Donahue.
The general had recently implied that NATO forces could flatten the Russian enclave of Kaliningrad in the Baltics, if Putin’s troops dared to attack a member state of the Western military alliance.
“So when I look at….Trump’s statement, when they say that patience is running out and that force will have to be used, it is our patience that is running out, and we can use force that neither America nor Europe can even imagine,” bellowed a furious Solovyov.
“We are at war with Ukraine as a brotherly nation,” he continued. “[Because of this] we have not yet conducted full-scale military operations, largely limiting ourselves in terms of the means of destruction.
“We have much more powerful ones. But when another madman threatens to destroy Kaliningrad [US general Christopher Donahue] in the shortest possible time or to unleash a full-scale war against Russia – they must understand that we are not going to mess around with them.”
Then in a none too subtle hint at the nuclear option, the Putin apparatchik growled: “The strike will be in accordance with our [military] doctrine. And the strike will be devastating.”
Solovyov has on numerous occasions claimed that the Kremlin is prepared to launch nuclear armageddon across the globe. In one particular vicious rant, the TV propagandist threatened the USA with a “nuclear tsunami” that will “blow the country to hell”.
