They explained: “Black tea is slightly acidic, more oxidized than other varieties of tea and much stronger.
“Other than being the strongest variety of tea, it makes the best glass cleaning solution there is around.”
Whilst it may seem peculiar, black tea possesses a natural element known as tannins which is mildly acidic, helping to break down grease and grime marks.
Tannins can also assist in naturally polishing glass, ensuring it appears professionally buffed without significant effort.
This presents an incredibly straightforward method to achieve spotless windows without any financial outlay or resorting to harsher chemical alternatives.
Allow the jug to sit undisturbed for five to 10 minutes to permit the tea bags to infuse properly.
The water should have cooled sufficiently and display a deep amber hue when ready for application. Next, carefully decant the cleaning solution into an empty spray bottle.
These can be purchased from the gardening aisle of most supermarkets, or alternatively, from pound shops or hardware stores.
