Donald Trump is pulling the US out of UNESCO, a White House official has revealed. In February, the US President ordered a 90-day review into his country’s membership in the agency, which is part of the United Nations and specialised on promoting international cooperation in education, arts, science and culture.

Following the review, White House officials took issue with the organisation’s Diversity, Equity and Inclusion policies as well as its alleged pro-Palestine and pro-China bias, according to a White House official. Anna Kelly told the New York Post: “President Trump has decided to withdraw the United States from UNESCO – which supports woke, divisive cultural and social causes that are totally out-of-step with the commonsense policies that Americans voted for in November.”
