The experts explained: “This soil life aids the plant in its gradual development and makes it resistant to diseases. It also introduces healthy bacteria, protozoa, nematodes, etc., in the soil, increasing this soil web life and, therefore, soil quality.”

Taking advantage of all the benefits that compost tea has is extremely straightforward. All you have to do is simply dilute the tea in water in the ratio of one to four, and spray it directly to the soil using a sprayer or water can.

Tea bags can also be added to compost piles to speed up the composting process. It acidity when added to other organic material speeds up the rate in which the pile decomposes.

The gardening liquid gold isn’t just beneficial to outdoor plants; it can be used indoors too. They can help protect indoor plants from fungal infections.

Those with indoor plants should brew a weak tea, add it to a spray bottle, and spray the plants. According to Food Hero, chamomile and black tea leaves work wonders on clearing up fungi.

So, the next time you brew a cuppa, think again before getting rid of that tea bag – you might find that your plants also need a drink.
