Upgrade your Fitbit for less thanks to surprise deals from Amazon

Fitbit remains a household name thanks to its ever-popular fitness trackers and smartwatches that track the basics of your daily activity at a relatively affordable price point. Connecting to any iPhone or Android phone, Fitbits also offer better battery life than competing Apple Watch or Samsung Galaxy Watch devices.

Surprisingly, the newest Fitbit is currently on sale at Amazon for an even cheaper price than it was last week in the Amazon Prime Day sales.

The Fitbit Charge 6 is currently £98.99 in a ‘limited time deal’, and unlike with the Prime Day deals, you don’t need to be a Prime member to access this sale price. This is £1 less than the Charge 6 sold for last week, and according to Amazon price comparison site Camelcamelcamel, £98.99 is the lowest the tracker has ever sold for on Amazon – a decent chunk cheaper than the device’s £139.99 RRP.

Released in 2023, the Charge 6 offers many of the features you’d get in a smartwatch but in a smaller form factor and with up to seven days of battery life. It has built-in GPS so you can track routes of runs, cycles or swims without taking your phone with you, and it’ll also handle the basics of steps, distance, calories, sleep tracking and heart rate when you wear it throughout the day.

I reviewed the Charge 6 when it was released and was thoroughly impressed. I’ve worn it for several weeks in that time between reviewing other wearables, and I still view it as an excellent choice for a general-purpose tracker in 2025.

It lacks third-party apps, so unlike many smartwatches, you can’t get apps on your wrist for services such as Uber, Starbucks or Strava, but as Fitbit is owned by Google, you can get Google Maps for turn-by-turn directions and Google Wallet for contactless payments – the latter of which is incredibly handy.

Another perk of buying this, and any, Fitbit is that you get six months of Fitbit Premium for free. This is Fitbit’s subscription service that normally costs £7.99 per month, offering video coaching sessions and deeper insight into your data. It’s nice to have, particularly if it’s free for six months, but I don’t think it’s a necessity. You get a decent amount of data without it.

This deal is only for a limited time, but it’s unclear for how long, so if you are interested in making the purchase, I can’t tell you how long you have to mull it over. Just consider if you can afford it, and if the feature set of the Charge 6 is what you need.

If this is still a little too pricey for you, the Fitbit Inspire 3 is on sale for £58.99, down from £84.99. It has a smaller screen and lacks GPS and Google Wallet, and is also £1 cheaper than the device sold for during last week’s Prime Day sale.
