Get Death Stranding for less than £15 before sequel launches next week

Death Stranding 2 is one of this year’s big new video game releases, especially if you’re a fan of the original.

If you haven’t had a chance to play the Hideo Kojima directed Death Stranding, then now is a great time to get caught up, because the game is down to one of its lowest price points yet.

While the Steam Summer Sale is pencilled in for June 26, some of the discounts have started early. This includes a huge price cut for the original Death Stranding, which is reduced to just £13.99 on Steam.

It’s also worth pointing out that Death Standing is Steam Deck Verified, which means you can play it on the go.

The PC version is actually the Director’s Cut, which includes a selection of special features and upgrades. This includes cross-over content from Half Life and Cyberpunk 2077.

Fans who purchase the Director’s Cut will also receive a digital art book by Titan Books, as well as in-game items such as Backpack Patches, the gold and silver Bridges Special Delivery Team Suit, the golden BB pod customisation, plus gold and silver Power Gloves.

Unsurprisingly given it’s a Hideo Kojima creation, but Death Stranding is a unique game where players must find a way to navigate a vast world in order to deliver supplies and connect isolated communities.

Needless to say, there’s a big focus on storytelling, so expect lots of cutscenes!

“In the future, a mysterious event known as the Death Stranding has opened a doorway between the living and the dead, leading to grotesque creatures from the afterlife roaming the fallen world marred by a desolate society,” reads the official description.

“As Sam Bridges, your mission is to deliver hope to humanity by connecting the last survivors of a decimated America. Can you reunite the shattered world, one step at a time?”

Sam Bridges is played by Walking Dead actor Norman Reedus. Mads Mikkelsen, Margaret Qualley and Troy Baker also make appearances.

The sequel, titled Death Stranding 2: On the Beach, launches on June 26, exclusively for PS5.
