All flights from a major UK airport have been temporarily suspended after an aircraft suffered technical difficulties upon landing. Aberdeen Airport says that it is working “to remove the aircraft from the runway” before giving the green light for flights to continue operating from the site.
Flight enthusiasts had noted that the airport had circled the airport several times as the fault was assessed whilst emergency vehicles gathered on the runway. A spokesperson for Aberdeen Airport told the Daily Express: “At approximately 16:20 a chartered Loganair aircraft reported a technical difficulty on arrival. The aircraft landed safely and all passengers disembarked.
“We are in the process of working with the airline team to remove the aircraft from the runway. Until then all flights to and from the airport are temporarily suspended and passengers are advised to contact their airline for specific flight information.”
