FROM singing to dancing and television – Cheryl Cole has done it all.
And now she is set to uncover her family history in the 13th series of Who Do You Think You Are?

Who is Cheryl?
Cheryl was born in 1983 in Newcastle upon Tyne and grew up on neighbouring council estates in walker and Heaton.
She is one of six siblings.
She attended Walker Comprehensive School in Newcastle between September 1994 and July 1999, but left at 16.
She discovered that her great-grandad caused a scandal by having illegitimate twins with his housekeeper when she appeared on the BBC genealogy show.
Rise to fame
She appeared in a TV advert for British Gas in 1990 and began sequence dancing when she was just four.
She also won recognition in several modelling competitions including Boots Group bonniest baby and Mothercare’s Happy Faces competition.
But it was in 2002 that her career really kicked off.
She was one of thousands to audition for reality TV show, Popstars.
Having been accepted by the judges, she was also the first to qualify for the girl group, Girls Aloud.
The group still hold the record for the fastest time between formation and reaching a number one single with their song, Sound of Underground.

The group was also named the United Kingdom’s biggest selling girl group of the 21st century, with over 4.3 million singles sales and 4 million albums sold in the UK alone.
In 2008 Cheryl replaced Sharon Osbourne as a judge for the fifth series of The X Factor.
She was given the girls category and ended up winning with contestant, Alexandra Burke.
She released her debut album, 3 Words, in 2009 and, following a performance on the X Factor live results show, its single Fight for this Love became the fourth best selling single for the year.
Her second album, Messy Little Raindrops, was released in 2010 and debuted at number one in the UK.
The first single on the album, Promise This, became her second number one hit.
Her third album, A Million Lights, was a similar success, doubling the amount of preorders to her nearest competitor, Justin Bieber, before it was released.

Then, to fans delight, Girls Aloud announced a Girls Aloud reunion for November 2012 for the groups tenth anniversary.
A documentary entitled Girls Aloud: Ten Years at the Top aired on ITV1 on 15 December 2012 attracted 2.3 million viewers.
In March 2013, Girls Aloud released a statement via their official Twitter confirming that they were splitting permanently.
She returned to the X Factor stage in 2014, but in April this year announced she would be leaving the show to focus on her music career.
In November is was announced she had split for her management team.
It has been revealed that Cheryl used to date Kieron Dyer, ex-England footballer and I’m A Celeb star.
She was married to England and Chelsea footballer, Ashley Cole, from 2005 to 2010.
She filed for divorce citing ‘unreasonable behaviour’ in May 2010 and the divorce papers stated he was unfaithful to Cheryl.
In 2014 she married Jean-Bernard Fernandez-Versini after dating for just three months.
But then in 2016 the couple divorced.
She began dating One Direction singer Liam Payne earlier this year and the couple are now expecting their first child.

What else does she do?
Aside from her music and television career, Cheryl has written a book, Through My Eyes, which was published in 2012.
Earlier this year she announced her debut fragrance called StormFlower via her Instagram account.
