It wasn’t until police allegedly caught up with his Skoda Superb car – four miles from the series of incidents that left the town on lock down.
The talented amateur footballer, who plays for Todmorden Borough, has now been charged with drink driving at more than twice the legal level. He is further accused of driving the Skoda without insurance and a licence. He was today remanded in custody until his appearance at Preston Crown Court in May.
