Tory peer David Prior, married for 31 years, is said to have had a series of trysts with her at the flat. But their secret two-year affair was exposed after she allegedly broke in while he was out last month and daubed insults on walls in blood.
Lord Prior, son of former cabinet minister Jim Prior, called police who arrested Purbrick, part of the Great Britain team at the Moscow Olympics in 1980.
Ms Purbrick, 63, denied burgling the flat with intent to do unlawful damage when she appeared at Camberwell Green magistrates’ court in South London on Tuesday.
Her lawyer Simon Nicholls said: “It is said she has gone to her ex-lover’s flat in London with two pints of pigs’ blood and daubed the walls with words and symbols.

“Lord Prior is the complainant and the address is the location where they would meet.”
Outside court she corrected her lawyer and said “five litres” of pigs’ blood was used to daub “offensive and explicit” words.
The alleged incident happened on May 9 at Lord Prior’s flat in Kennington, South London.
Ms Purbrick, of Wells-next-the Sea, Norfolk, will now face trial next month.
