TRAINER Richard Spencer is hoping this year’s Royal Ascot squad can spark further success after Rajasinghe’s Coventry Stakes victory last year.
The Newmarket handler, who is only in his second season as a registered trainer, believes he is going to the meeting with an even stronger team this time around.

Heading that team will be Keyser Soze, who currently sits third in the betting for the Royal Hunt Cup.
The son of Arcano disappointed in the Britannia Stakes last year, but Spencer is confident that was merely a blip in an otherwise progressive profile.
The trainer said: “We’re on the cusp of whether we’re going to get a run, but it’s looking more likely than not that we’ll get in.
“He’s in great form and he’ll do his final bit of work this week and I think he’s got a very good chance. I think the race will play to his strengths, he’s run twice this year and run very well both times, and he was certainly unlucky not to win first time.”
