But devoted followers of 54-year-old Johnny have come up with one of two explanations for his extremely thin frame.
Taking to social media, many fans believe the Pirates Of The Caribbean star could be re-shooting scenes for his upcoming movie Richard Says Goodbye.
The film is based on the story of a college professor, who “lives his life with reckless abandon” after being diagnosed with a terminal illness.
And the flick is still in post-production.

This means directors are still busy completing the editing and adding music and sound, so Johnny may still be called back for a specific re-shoot.
One fan wrote on Twitter: “He had to lose weight because his character was diagnosed with a terminal illness.
“As this movie is still in post-production maybe that’s the reason for him is so thin. So he is not sick!”
Another added: “He’s in post production for #richardsaysgoodbye which is about a terminally ill man. He’s fine.”

However, it has also been claimed that Johnny’s dramatic weight-loss is due to another potential forthcoming movie – a remake of the 1933 film The Invisible Man.
Based on the H.G. Wells science fiction novel, the plot followed a scientist called Griffin who has managed to make himself invisible.
In the book, the character wore a long-sleeved thick coat and gloves, hiding his face – apart from a fake pink nose – in bandages.
At the end of the story, The Invisible Man’s battered body became visible after he is killed by a mob.

Rumours of an Invisible Man remake have been swirling since 2016, with claims that Johnny is set to take on the role of Griffin.
If it does come to fruition, it will be made by Universal’s monsters franchise, the Dark Universe.
