    1. Real Techniques Silicone Liner Brush, £5.99
Achieving a slick of colour along your lower lashes can be difficult, but the tip of this ultra-fine head can line eyes subtly or dramatically.
    2. Diego Dalla Palma Wide Shader Brush N.12, £25
Want all-over, intense pigment? Use this to swipe on shadow in a windscreen-wiper motion across your lids.
    3. New Look Double Ended Eyeshadow Brush, £3.99
Pat product on to lids with the fluffy end of this brush, lightly dusting for a low-key colour wash, or pressing it on for a more dramatic look.
    4. Zoeva Rose Golden 230 Luxe Pencil Brush, £9
The rounded tip will pack on the drama by adding highlighter or an accent of colour to the inner corners.
    5. Primark PS Eye Contour Brush, £1
Brush shadow into the contours of your eye for a more defined “outer V” and smoky vibes.
    6. Kiko Eyes 61 Graphic Eyeliner Brush, £10.90
For precise application, this creates a sharp contour on the top or bottom and can even be used to apply shadow as a liner.
    7. My Kit Co 1.10 My Sharp Angle, £12.50
Hold the brush so the bristles lie flat against your lash line, then drag from the inside corner of your eye outwards.
    8. Nars #45 Smudge Brush, £24
After you’ve lined your lashes with kohl, sweep this brush from side to side over the top of your liner to subtly blend it.
    9. Bobbi Brown Eye Blender Brush, £26.50
Harsh lines are a definite no-no. Use this to buff in colour all over the lid for an expert finish.
    10. Marc Jacobs The Crease Brush, £27
Add depth by tilting your head back a little and sweeping colour into the eye socket.
